Mission:
Promote, preserve and enhance the recreational, historical, cultural, scenic, natural and archeological resources along the 54-mile Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway.
Current Goals of the Byway Association
- Build awareness of the Byway in clever and compelling ways through community and regional projects and events — prioritizing those with multi-community themes, interesting stories from the area’s past; ensuring the preservation of these stories.
- Develop area amenities, free to the public such as gardens, interpretive room, informational waysides, hiking trails, paved shoulders as bikeways.
- Foster cooperation and collaboration among the jurisdictions touched by the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway in preserving and enhancing the Byway’s resources.
The Byway Association is the collective membership. A group of volunteer board members manage the association's business, working closely with a variety of partners in the area.
