Volunteer

The Scenic Byway exists because of helpful volunteers – and we need more of them. Join our community!

Volunteer opportunities:

  • Join our board of directors — quarterly meetings Wednesday evenings at the US Army Corps of Engineers office, Crosslake; with annual membership meeting in early November
  • Promotion and outreach — deliver brief ‘Get-To-Know-Us’ presentations at local organization meetings, group events
  • Volunteer/Event coordinator — recruit volunteers, manage schedules and coordinate tasks
  • Walking the Scenic Byway trails — check trail conditions and report to board, spring and fall
  • Checking the Byway kiosks — check signage and kiosks for necessary maintenance
  • Special event assistance — help set up registrations, work with visitors and posting signage
  • Storytellers — have a knack for telling stories? Come see us.
