The Story of Paul and Babe’s Ox-tail Soup

Back in the day, Paul, Babe and the camp loggers endured an especially frigid winter. The winds blew mighty fierce, tugging at the men’s beard whiskers and Babe’s wrinkled blue tail hairs all the same. Ouch!

Wel lhe story goes, those blowing whiskers and flying blue ox hairs swirled and twirled and blew themselves right smack-dab through 3-feet of snow and into the ground so deep and straight they looked like a perfect wide-row of …somethin’ just ready for harvest. Well imagine Paul’s camp cook Sourdough Sam’s surprise when he pulled up not just one, not five, nor 35, heck not even 535. A thoroughly flummoxed Sourdough Sam pulled 1,005 oxtails all from that stand!

“Now I have SO MANY OXTAILS…” he crouped… “I’ll go fetch the cauldron and fire up some Soup!”

Come to sample soup around the warm cauldron bubbling over an open fire from 12 noon to 3pm on Saturday Feb. 3rd, 2024. Say hello to Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.  And don’t forget to Vote for your favorite soup!
